To accelerate this, we are the UK’s first single point of engagement between government and industry to align priorities, coordinate delivery, and mobilise action at scale. AI needs to spread like steam once did.

Priority initiatives for 2026

SME AI Community Hub

The SMB Community Hub is a unified platform for SMEs to engage, share and learn how to adopt AI in their business. It supports peer-to-peer learning through facilitated forums where members discuss what’s working (and what isn’t), exchange practical advice, and capture best practices for embedding AI into their business, helping the community build shared, collective knowledge.

AI-enabled voice learning tool

A national-scale, AI-powered learning product, using conversational and voice-based AI to personalise learning. The product will leverage ElevenLabs’ agentic voice technology, with options for British regional accents and celebrity voices to increase engagement.

AI Security Checklist

An interactive checklist providing practical, accessible guidance to clarify common requirements and risks for organisations to adopt AI responsibly. The checklist will be supported by a lightweight diagnostic tool offering risk profiling and will be adaptable for both small businesses and larger organisations, with tailored requirements for each.

AI Infrastructure (Initial proposal)

Awareness and education initiatives within governmental bodies to ensure a baseline understanding of AI infrastructure and its strategic importance to the UK’s national interest, particularly encouraging UK business to buy UK infrastructure. Research project to uncover UK positioning on AI infrastructure and what barriers industry has seen holding AI infrastructure back.
